About Me

Tia Hooper is the founder of Legal Flex GC.

For more than 15 years, she has guided executives, founders, and senior leaders through complex legal and operational challenges — in the private sector, government, and military.

Most recently, she served as Corporate Counsel for Young’s Holdings, a multi-subsidiary consumer goods and real estate enterprise. She managed the company’s full employment and commercial litigation portfolio, oversaw hundreds of contracts representing more than $50 million annually, helped avoid more than $5 million in potential exposure, and cut outside counsel reliance by 40 percent.

Before that, she spent over a decade in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps — including as Deputy Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate leading a team of 18 attorneys. Over her career she has tried more than 30 cases and overseen 100+ litigation matters.

Tia is also a venture builder. She is the founder of Joli Jaunts™, a children's picture book series following a curious, brave young girl who travels the world to help kids. Separately, she runs an educational platform that gives indie authors and illustrators the tools and templates to protect their intellectual property and build on their creative work.

She built Legal Flex GC on a simple idea: growing businesses shouldn’t have to choose between big-firm rates and a full-time General Counsel they’re not ready for.
